Hi Neil I'm trying to update the Chairman's Report page on our website. It currently shows reports for 2014/15 with older reports for 2011/12 and 2012/13. I need to add 2013/14, 2015/16 and the most up to date one 2016/17. I have gone into the additional features on the SAS tool and tried to update the page from there. Hi Angie We have just tried to add a test report using the SAS, and it appears to be working fine for us. Just to confirm, we used the following steps: 1. Click on 'ADDITIONAL' in the SAS 2. Click on 'CHAIRMAN / MAYOR'S REPORTS EDITOR' 3. Click on 'ADD REPORT' 4. Enter the DATE, TITLE and REPORT in the text box (using the LINK button if you want to add a link to an uploaded PDF or Word document) 5. Click on ADD REPORT at the bottom of the page 6. Click on SAVE REPORT when asked to confirm the save.
Please can I ask you to check that you have followed the above and if you are still having difficulties please can you email the report document and your required text to us at info@parishcouncil.net and we will look further into it. Regards, |

PART-ACTIONED Dear Leslie Thank you for your note. I am very sorry to hear that New Mills will be leaving our service, and obviously extremely sorry for the reasons given. I do see that there is an Update Request showing as outstanding, but on checking the server I can see that it was in fact actioned (and just not updated). I can see that the Council have continued to use the site, domain and emails since the last invoice date (28/02/15), and a reconciliation invoice has in fact already been prepared taking into account the upcoming renewal date. However, in light of your email I am prepared to reduce this to just cover the 2016 invoice year at £200, and waive everything from the date that you say you have not heard back from us from. I trust that this is to the Council's satisfaction, and if you require the domain to be transferred to a new provider before February please do let me know and we will action the transfer request. Otherwise we will set the domain and emails to expire in February. Best regards

For the first time for some months I hjave recently tried repeatedly to use the SAS to add the name of a ninth councillor to ouir council's webpage of Councillors' Details. When I have entered name (x2), position, e-mail address and a couple of committees - I try to save the new entry but receive a reply saying "no name entered" and a cleared input screen. I will soon need to remove one of our Councillors and soemwhat later add a further new person. WILL YOU PLESE URGENTLY INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE - I do not know if this may be related to the dreaded "server upgrade" somehow!

Hello - I have sent 2 x emails to the info@parishcouncil.net email address about an "ERROR 404 - Not Found" message when trying to open a PDF of either an agenda or minutes that I have uploaded to the "Meetings, Minutes & Agendas section. The emails were sent across on 4 Oct & 11 Oct with snips of the error message and snips of the specific agenda & minutes that reported this error. However, of the total library of agenda & minutes we have in this section many of them experience this problme. All are PDFs. I have marked this ticket as urgent as this is an ongoing issue - Amanda Sculley, Deputy Clerk at Binfield Parish Council - has reported previously. Also, because we are trying to share more about the Committee meetings with the public to get them along to our meetings and provide feedback on the agenda items but we are finding this issue a blocker in doing this as people are unable to see the agendas & minutes that we'd like to share. East Dorset District Council is reviewing its long-term plans, currently for up to 2028. This survey gives residents of the 4 parishes of Knowlton – Chalbury, Horton Woodlands and Wimborne St Giles – an opportunity to participate in the review. This is your chance to help get your future needs considered as a part of it. The opportunity is extended to those who have moved away from here and would like to return. The survey is in 2 parts: the first part tells us what your situation is now; the second is aimed at those who think they may have a different need in the future. Hi. I've just tried to use the emailer to send out a newsletter. All was fine - I pressed send, the emailer confirmed that it had sent to all subscribers. Being a subscriber myself on a separate email address I have not received the email. i went back onto the site to check my subscribed email address to find that all email addresses on the subscriber list have disappeared. Hi there, we have an email address set up via yourselves for our clerk clerk@amberley-pc.uk.org. This doesn't seem to be working at the moment and email sent to the address is not picked up. I have not been able to test this email address as I don't have all the information required to configure it. I have been trying to contact you for 10 months to get this sorted. We need an extra page on our web site to allow us to insert an interactive map. This map is a link to our local District Council's mapping system, and the link is as follows: https://gismaps.scambs.gov.uk/connect/analyst/?mapcfg=FoxtonPC My contact at the District Council said something about putting it in an iFrame...? I would like the map to come up as the entire web site, so the best place for it is on its own page called "interactive map", on our "Local information" menu. Please can we have an answer for this one please!!! Residents are getting SO restless. I really need a way to hand these agendas and minutes. The minutes (but not agendas) are all on the archived documents page but I can update the meetings and minutes page. I dont want to take the page down but residents are not finding the documents.
Although using the same file for documents to be uploaded into the document archive, when we try to add the agenda on the calendar link, it doesn't work. It does seem to show the document path but you can't access or open the document. What are we doing wrong? The one we tried was planning meeting on 21 February.

I have been trying to obtain support from your company since last autumn. I have been unable to access the site admin system for a number of months and, as a result, have not been able to update our parish website since last summer. I emailed you and Cecilie last week and have had no response whatsoever. This is an intolerable situation. I therefore intend to begin the process of sourcing a new provider for our website. URGENT - HELP PLEASE Hi, This afternoon I received an email, as I would normally, to let me know that the contact form on the website had been used. I opened the email but only to find that there were just some numbers in the message and nothing else. I deleted the email and then noticed that my inbox had been bombarded with 491 spam/phishing emails. As if someone, or something was trying to hack the website. So, in an attempt to "quick fix" I unchecked the box to "hide" the contact page, so that this hopefully would't happen again. Please, if possible, can we add a security feature to the bottom of the contact page, so that a message can't be sent unless the security question has been answered. For example: the re-captcha tool. We have not been able to upload any minutes and agendas to our website for some time, we have reported the fault by emailing and ringing but no one has contacted us. The error message that comes up is Urgent due to a recent server upgrade a number of sites are experiencing difficulties in uploading content or adding documents / images. if you are, please email us direct at info@parishcouncil.net witht he subject SERVER ISSUE we will add an urgent fix for you. It seemed as though she was merely someone answering the phone for several businesses rather than anything specifically to do with Parish Council.net. Please could you resolve a problem with the calender section of website. When entering a new event, the date, meeting type and description are entered. on saving the event the meeting type is absent and does not show on the homepage calender. If you edit the event and select meeting type it then saves it as a date in 1970. |

Is it possible for me to block delete Calander events I'm currently about to update events for 2017 and found that past events (100's) go back to 2014. Ideally i want to delete all events prior to January 2016 (always maintain the Previous years events) Also is it possible that in Meetings and minutes instead of individually as is current practice, manually load and edit each meeting, for 2017 is there a means of Block loading i. e create main title SPC Meeting for a particular date, editable) then click Repeat 3rd Thursday every month but still keep the now regonised format (this 3rd Thursday is SPC's estabished choice but needs to have a basic flexibility as we have other meetings scheduled outside of SPC's format Cllr David.Plater

One of my councillors has tried sending an ordinary email to you but hasn't had a response. im new to this role and didn't have the formal training in managing our website. Hi. I am really havibg trouble using IE11 Safari and Goole webrowsers. i have added our Carol Service to the calander on 20th December 2016, ticked the box to display the event and saved. The problem I am having is the event saves but the tick to display fails to register, and the event will not display on the website. Recently I seem unable to enter an apostrophe in the title or information fields in the Calendar entry and editing screens. If I do, when I save the change I just get an SQL error from the server and nothing sets saved. Could this be fixed again please - it used to work. Means things like "Women's Institute" and "St Andrew's Church" don't work. |

I think this is related to this user have an Out of Office message set up - users are getting this message instead of the one which has been set. I have switched off the out of office message but need to be able to switch in on ASAP.

Hello I've referred two issues to you through the urgent meesage on the start page but had no response so gues I should use this normal route. The two problems that need urgent fixing are: The Home Page Ticker is no longer usable as there is no text field available now - that's inportant because we use it to flag up notice of town council meetings We are no longer able to add or edit meetings to the meeting facility since as soon as detail is added or edited, the 'type of of meeting' field empies and the entry disappears - see the absence of entries for the town council meetings of 10 October and 14 November. 3rd October 2016. Thanks. At present I am using the 'PARISHPLAN' code screen and have renamed the Title as 'Transparency Code'. Please set up a new screen 'Transparency Code' to sit under the main heading of "The Parish Council" and positioned between "Council Meetings" and "Document Archive". I guess that this new screen would then appear in the "Pages" part of the editor? I will then transfer the "Parish Plan" screen data to the "Transparency Code" screen and clear out the "Parish Plan" screen. If this fits into your comment below ("We can either create this page for you now...") then please do and can you let me know when it will be available - if in the next 2 days then great as we have a Parish meeting on Thursday 6th October and it would be good to report that we have the new page up and running. Let me know if you find a solution. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I am unable to add PDF files to the Meetings screen (Agendas and Minutes) using Firefox - it comes up "Invalid File" after selecting a file from the browser screen. I have used this method for many years. I AM able to add PDF files on other screens e.g. Documents. I AM able to add PDF documents using Chrome and Explorer/ Edge. Can you tell me what the problem is? |

ACTIONED We have had reports of this error from a couple of Firefox users, and it appears to be a bug in the Firefox application's latest update. We are looking into whether we can code a work-around for Firefox users, but in the meantime I recommend using Chrome / IE / Edge for documents. Regards, |

3rd October 2016 Below is what I now see on the Calendar for events on the 6th October. Having added the new event for the 6th October it is correctly keeping the Meeting Title and showing up on the calendar (6th is now shadded in). BUT - all the the ones I tried the other day that had the Meeting Title removed upon saving the event are also showing up and I cannot remove them. Please remove them for me a.s.a.p. as this screen looks a mess. Thanks. PS - first item below is the one I added today to test out your patch and I need it kept. 06 October 2016 | ||
