The Evergreen 2000 Trust is a registered charity formed to help manage and defend the public green areas to the west of Slough and south of Burnham Beeches that together make up the Burnham Grove Nature Reserve.
We co-operate fully with other like-minded organisations and maintain links with owners of both publicly- and privately-owned open spaces in the area. Members work actively with Britwell and Haymill Neighbourhood Advisory Groups, the Britwell Biodiversity Opportunity Area and the Slough Local Access Forum.
Two of the sites, Cocksherd Wood and Haymill Valley, are recognised by the European Database of Designated Areas.
Our members are all volunteers. They undertake maintenance tasks such as tree-planting and litter-picking, as well as campaigning for better protection of open spaces. In addition we are very grateful for the active support we receive from other volunteer groups and from our various financial sponsors.
