I used to train at the stables with Mr Coe about 17 years ago to become a horse groom through training at Broomfield College. I visited this area a few days ago; and i was quite shocked at the state of the stables and general area, there were visitors about but just ambling along. Are the tearooms and the shop still open, as it didn't look it to me? I was just wondering what the current situation is. And if you have been able to raise any money or arrange any events to help fundraise for it, what about Groundwork - http://www.groundwork.org.uk/ who area charity for clean green spaces. It would be a real shame to see it go for a hotel it should be open to the public and not shut off as per proposals. I am not sure what it could be used for apart from functions, or maybe some sort of event area for concerts; camping holidays, biking holidays, horse riding holidays with some areas built for these purposes perhaps, but more attractions from major events should be held here. Even Antiques Roadshow would be great to host there. Has this site ever featured on BBC Countryfile or other such programming, for a bit of nationwide airtime and highlight the cause? Lorraine
